A Few Ways to be More Selfless

If someone is sad, go cheer them up.

If someone is happy, go share their happiness.

If someone is scared, go comfort them.

If someone is mad, go calm them down.

If someone is nervous, go give them courage.

If someone is snobby, go talk some sense into them.

If someone is compassionate, go tell them.

If someone is surprised, go ask why.

If someone is mourning, go hug them, because that's what they need. They don't need words. Someone has most likely talked to them. What they need is someone to protect them from the hurt, if only a little bit. They need arms around them to let them know that person also feels their pain. Everyone goes through losses. Let them feel as if they are not alone. Words are useless when mourning.

Why?

Why does life sometimes rush by much too fast?

Why are there lists of rules that reach the hundreds, yet no one writes them down?

Why are we told, don't be selfish, but then are told, don't worry about others?

Why do people lie for no good reason?

Why doesn't my reading teacher have any fantasy books?

Why do we have to live by what time of day it is?

Why can't I finish my dreams and ambitions?
